2024 Goals

New Year, New Goals!

We’ve started a new year, and that can be so exciting! Obviously, this year will be different for my family with Chris away. But I have decided to just stay busy and set goals for 2024 that will help time move a little faster. It got me thinking about the goals that I have seen people setting for themselves on social media. And I decided we should talk about it. And since it’s still January, this is a great time to start. But remember, it’s NEVER too late!

Start Small

For some people, goals can be daunting. I know I have been feeling pretty overwhelmed with the pressure to set high goals for myself because most days are SURVIVAL MODE, amirite? I think we can all relate to that in some way or another. I want to start by saying that it is totally okay if your “New Year’s Resolution” is just to drink more water or go on a walk every now and then. (It’s also okay if you didn’t come up with any resolutions at all, but I digress…)

Let’s Get Healthy

One of the goals that I have set for myself is to be healthier. I want to treat things more holistically. Take vitamins. Drink more water. All the healthy things. Most people start off with good intentions for healthy living in the new year, but I’ve rounded up a few things to help you get started on that journey.

Speaking of healthier living, I’ve mentioned that I want to start cooking a bit healthier too. If this is a goal you want to try in ’24, grab some new pots + pans, a few cute utensils, and start researching meal plans that would be easy to accomplish in your stage of life. Obviously life can get pretty busy, and I’ve found that subscriptions like Home Chef are great ways to offset the mental gymnastics dinner planning can cause.

For those of you with new fitness goals, you have to look fabulous. So you will need an outfit, complete with workout tanks, leggings, and shoes (obviously). You also cute bottle to drink all the water, an aesthetic (but functional) gym bag to hold all your cute workout things. Shameless plug incoming: but if you’re local, I know a GREAT gym. 😉 It’s okay if you don’t have high fitness goals. But grabbing the stuff you need is a great start to helping get you motivated. Start small.

Intentional Goals

Another super common goal is to read or journal more. I love this journal, because with little ones, you never know what they’ll say or do. I think journaling every day life is a great way to help you remember the small things that you can’t always catch on video. And obviously, you need a cute journal to make it fun!

For a lot of us, the goal is to and get more organized. I love this planner for that! Here’s to getting our lives together in 2024!

Make Your Home A Haven

Home projects are another (pretty ambitious) goal people seem to always set in the new year. I’m guilty of this one, as well. Even if it’s just hanging a few pictures or shelves, getting some new decor or a rug, this is another area where you can start small and see where it leads. It doesn’t even take a massive budget just to make your spaces feel more comfy. You can also check out these blog posts for some ideas and inspiration:

Ready, Set, GOALS!

I’ve been thinking about goals for the year, and I want to make sure I accomplish the ones that will bring me the most joy. I think we could all use some of that. Looking forward to seeing all of your goals come to life in this new year. 🙂
