Delicious Muenster Chicken

Prep Time – 10 minutes | Cook Time: 50 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour

This easy, kid-approved, chicken dinner is delicious and sure to make everyone happy! We love it in our house! With just a few ingredients, it’s a winner for weeknight dinners and special occasions. And the best part? It’s easy to make, even for those who prefer not to handle raw chicken!

chicken, soup, breadcrumbs, cheese

**Ingredients:**

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of celery soup

– 4-6 Muenster cheese slices

– 1/2 cup+ (measure with love) plain breadcrumbs

– 1/4 cup butter, melted

**Instructions:**

1. Preparation – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Butterfly the Chicken – I hate touching raw chicken, Chris usually slices this for me. With a sharp knife, butterfly each breast by slicing it horizontally almost all the way through, so it opens like a book. This step ensures that the chicken cooks evenly and absorbs the flavors well. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish.

3. Spread the Cream of Celery Soup – Open the can of cream of celery soup and pour it over the chicken breasts. Use a spoon or spatula to evenly spread the soup, covering all the chicken.

4. Cheesy Goodness – Place the Muenster cheese slices on top of each chicken breast to cover. It may not look pretty, but it’s SO good, trust me!

5. Buttery Crunch – In a bowl, melt the butter and mix it with the plain breadcrumbs until well combined. The more breadcrumbs you use, the crunchier the topping will be. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the chicken breasts and cheese.

6. Into the Oven – Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly. The breadcrumbs should turn golden brown and crispy.

7. Serve and Enjoy – Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. The creaminess of the soup, the gooeyness of the cheese, and the satisfying crunch of the breadcrumbs is just so perfect!

**Pro Tips:**

– Feel free to customize this recipe by adding your favorite herbs and spices to the breadcrumb mixture. Garlic powder, dried oregano, or even a pinch of red pepper flakes

– Serve this Muenster Chicken with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad. It’s delicious, enjoy!
