Organize Your Fridge!
2024 is the year that we’re going to get organized. I’m claiming it for all of us. One of the areas that I have focused on organizing is my kitchen. The fridge tends to get a little messy, because we use it constantly, just like everyone else. So, I thought I’d put together a little list of items and organizers that have helped me keep my fridge organized, just to give y’all some good ideas.
I’ve been working on getting my entire kitchen organized, so you can check out my blog post on my cabinet organization for more inspiration!
Lets Get Organizing
To start, I wanted to find items that would be easy to clean. These washable shelf mats are perfect for cleaning if there is ever a spill in your fridge (which is pretty much inevitable, if we’re being honest). When I was looking for containers and organization products, I wanted plastic stuff that would be easy to remove and wash as needed. I love these plastic organizer bins! I can just take them out, and wash them in the sink when they need to be cleaned! And they hold so many items.
Organizing the Loose Items
My kids love yogurt and snack pouches, so I made sure to grab these yogurt organizers and pouch hangers. They help keep loose yogurts and pouches together, so they’re not falling all over the fridge. They also keep them out of the way so that they don’t take up too much room in the fridge!
Soda organizers are also a great idea for keeping things tidy, because the boxes can be so bulky! I love the way the sodas look when I place them in their bins. It’s just satisfying to me.
Keep it Fresh
These bacon containers and produce containers are also great for keeping stuff fresh for longer periods of time. Produce and meats can be so expensive, so we don’t need them going bad too quickly while sitting in the fridge waiting for their turn to be eaten, I think we can all agree on that.
For Convenience’s Sake
Magic taps are awesome when you have containers of juice or milk, because you don’t have to remove the drinks from the fridge. You can just fill your cup conveniently, which makes me really happy.
I love this lazy Susan for condiments and smaller bottles, because they can be hard to locate when they’re in the back of the fridge. The lazy Susan makes it so easy, because you can just turn it and find what you’re looking for!
Door organizers also help keep things orderly when you’re trying to optimize the space in your fridge. They just hang from the door, and you can put your items in there to make it easy!
Don’t Forget Your Freezer
The freezer also tends to get a little messy sometimes. These freezer racks and bins are super helpful to keep everything lined up in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Happy Organizing!
I’m just trying to simplify my life in every way that I can. And I had no idea how much organizing my fridge and freezer would make life run more smoothly!
