Taming the Chaos: Kitchen Cabinet and Pantry Organization Made Easy!
If you’re anything like me, you know how quickly the cabinets and pantry can turn into a chaotic mess. But fear not, I’ve got some tips and tricks to help you transform your culinary clutter into a well-organized haven.
Work with a pro, or at least go on a deep dive of their insta account lol
I worked with @house.peace on my kitchen organization. Hire a professional if organizing isn’t your strength and you have it in the budget!!! The eyes of someone else that knows what they are doing is invaluable! @tarabbremer has changed my life and the way our kitchen functions which is huge! But you CAN do it on your own, read my tips below to help you. I have already started implementing some of these in other areas of the house and am well into a purge + organize flow!
The Power of Clear Plastic Bins
One of the best weapons in my kitchen organization arsenal? Clear plastic bins, specifically the ones from “The Home Edit” at Walmart. These transparent wonders are a game-changer when it comes to tidying up your pantry and cabinets.
The beauty of clear bins is that they allow you to see everything at a glance. Using clear containers helps keep a seamless (less chaotic) pantry so you KNOW what you have. Get rid of all the packaging. It takes up space and it doesn’t allow you to see what is there. Often we just have chaotic boxes, some full some half eaten past their prime, transferring everything into clear visible bins is so much better! Plus, they come in various sizes, so you can customize your storage to fit your needs. Categorize your baking supplies, canned goods, or snacks into these bins, and suddenly, you’ve got an organized pantry that Martha Stewart would envy.
Drink Bottle Organizers: Stay Hydrated and Tidy
Are your drink bottles taking over your cabinet space? Say goodbye to the avalanche of water bottles every time you open the door. Invest in some drink bottle organizers – they’re a total lifesaver!
These organizers come in various designs and sizes, ensuring that your collection of reusable water bottles, thermoses, and sports bottles stay neatly stacked. No more precarious balancing acts or fumbling through a chaotic jumble. Plus, it makes it easier to spot when it’s time for a refill.
Pull Out Spice Racks for Medicine: Double Duty Delight
Now, let’s tackle the medicine cabinet, which I actually keep right in the kitchen. It’s amazing how quickly that little space can become cluttered with half-empty bottles and expired medications. But I have a solution… my favorite pull-out spice racks! I use them for the kids bottles and the parents!
You read that right. Those handy spice racks that keep your herbs and seasonings organized in the kitchen can work wonders in the medicine cabinet too. You have an organized and easily accessible space for your vitamins, prescriptions, and first-aid supplies. I use regular open bins for the oversized vitamins and first aid needs, all labeled for easy access!
Make it a system you can maintain!
Whether it’s clear labels on your clear bins or colorful labels on your spice racks, labeling helps you maintain order effortlessly. Plus, it adds a touch of personality to your organization project. Labeling not only helps for quick visual reference, but also helps with putting things back where they go.
Part of this process is purging. Editing is so important! Get rid of the things you don’t use! We can also say goodbye to the “one day I might need it” items. The truth is you probably forgot you even had it.
Keep a system to a level you can maintain. If it’s too tedious or hard you won’t do it. Know what you are capable of to keep the chaos under control. Organizing your kitchen cabinets and pantry doesn’t have to be a daunting. With a few clear plastic bins, drink bottle organizers, and some repurposing, you can transform your kitchen into an organized oasis. So, roll up your sleeves and get to work – you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes!
Happy organizing!
