Screened In Porch Refresh

This porch is finally living up to its potential! I updated my patio with this 5 piece set from Walmart!

This Better Homes & Gardens set has been a viral favorite for a few years, all over Instagram and Pinterest! It’s frequently on sale and is just under $1400 which is a freaking steal. I had to order this for myself to give our outdoor living space a refresh! Check out the transformation reel! We have a large screened-in porch with a section I use for dining and a seating area with a tv. I wanted to lighten up the space and switch from the black set I had previously, shown here. Which we still love and are incorporating into the under-deck area. Now this space is bright and airy with plenty of seating. I do suggest having a second set of hands to help, and take it from me to read the instructions before you start! Especially where it says to not tighten all the screws until the end!

About the furniture

I love the seating configuration of this five-piece set. You get the long three-seat sofa as well as the two generously sized, swivel chairs. There is also a stacking round table set included, that I split up and have as side tables! My coffee table is monochromatic to the seating set and I think it just creates a relaxing, fresh look to the patio. This exact table is no longer sold but there are similar ones like This Ballard Designs Beverly Rattan Coffee Table with a glass top (good for drinks and plates) or The Anguilla Rattan Coffee Table from Serena & Lily. Overstock has this great table too with a friendly price point! Whether you go with the nesting duo tables or an additional piece, I know entertaining in an outdoor living space will be elevated with this Better Homes & Gardens River Oaks 5-Piece Wicker Conversation Set!

The “console table” is new I actually just put two cabinets side by side! I fell in love with these Threshold Wells storage cabinets from Target. I originally bought them to place behind my sofa inside the house but they worked better out there. The slight warmth of the cabinet pulls and the jute rug tones up and still blends into the cooler wicker tones of the sofa and chairs. The chair cushions are a greige, pulling a tad more of a soft grey. The perfect neutral! I used the Loloi II Hathaway Beige Printed rug to layer on the jute rug. I love love love this rug, its soft but has no pile so its easy to clean! Gracie is still crawling so something comfy for her was essential.

The finishing touches

Sometimes the temperature can be a wild card…

The first time I redid the deck I Installed these sleek black fans ( by myself I might add) and they are perfect in the spring and summer when we need a breeze. These fans are also husband approved IYKYK. The Hunter 54″ 3 Blade Indoor / Outdoor Led Fans add a modern touch to the porch and have remotes to them too. You can see the fans also in this post from our first porch update 2 years ago. We partnered with Hunter fans and couldn’t be happier with how they changed the look this space and how they have held up in the outdoor conditions.

When it is cool out, we have that covered too! We got The Infratech Stainless Steel Dual Element 61″ Heater this winter, and THEY ARE SO GOOD. I use them way more than I ever thought I would. This is a large porch it’s 42 x 12 and 3 of these heat the whole thing really nicely. They also have dimming controls and are on a timer, and are smart hub capable too. There is also a 39″ heater that could work well for smaller spaces

The accessories

The pillows, the gold tray, firewood storage rack & the small planter are all from Target. You can get the Hunter fans at Walmart. All the links and more are conveniently in my LTK post for the screened-in porch refresh!
